Spring Riding

So today is the first (and last) 80+ degree day for this week. Good reason to dig out the CX and ride to work with nothing standing in the way of the wind. It's amazing what a little effort in winterizing can do for a bike - started right up after 6 months of storage, not a puff of smoke even.

It's such a different experience riding with no fairings - it doesn't really let you drift off into unaware blackness. Amazing what you can hear, smell and feel too - especially with a half helmet, now I'm keenly aware of just how much in need of valve adjustment both heads are. A project for a new garage, I suppose - together with a carb rebuild, something that should be quite enjoyable given the right environment.
